Barbara Pierce, President

A versatile, award-winning communication professional, Barbara Pierce specializes in transforming complex content into compelling marketing deliverables. Her career has spanned fields ranging from higher education, academic medicine, and big pharma to entertainment and broadcasting.


From 2013 to 2015, Barbara served as assistant vice president for healthcare marketing at UHealth – University of Miami Health System. Previously, Barbara was for more than six years executive director of communications and marketing at the University of Miami, overseeing an array of high-profile projects that included print and digital communications for the University’s $1.6 billion Momentum 2 advancement campaign.


Barbara’s experience also includes ten years as associate director for creative services at Duke University Medical Center and Health System; leadership roles in marketing and public relations for North Carolina Public Television, Los Angeles public television station KCET, and the Museum of New Mexico; and copywriting stints at CBS Television and Walt Disney Imagineering.


Barbara holds a Master of Arts in International Administration with an award of academic merit from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Arts in art, cum laude, from the University of California at Los Angeles.
